Shareable rule JSON is cached in S3 under app_data/{year}/fed.json and app_data/{year}/state/{st}.json (lowercase state code), then bundled files under data/, then OpenAI if a key is set. Federal and state rule JSON for 2025 is stored under
app_data/2025/ (for example fed.json and state/ga.json).
Clearing removes those objects so rules reload from bundled data/ files or OpenAI on next use.
Remove every uploaded PDF and AI summary in this session (all tax years).
Session and per-year settings.json files are kept.
